Caribbean National Disaster Response Teams (NDRT) Training
Hosted Online on October 14 - 18, 2024 and In Person on November 4 - 8, 2024

About this Training

As disasters become more frequent and severe, it is vital to have trained staff and volunteers ready to support vulnerable populations during response and recovery. This training equips participants with essential skills for disaster operations, including establishing an Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) and creating a Plan of Action. Participants will also learn about the Federation’s Operational Structure and the role of National Societies, ensuring they are well-prepared to integrate into and support their National Societies effectively.

While specific technical skills for areas like Cash and Voucher Assistance and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene require additional training, this course provides foundational knowledge crucial for emergency response. Participants are expected to commit to supporting their own and other National Societies during disasters, continuing their role until specialized surge staff can be deployed.
