Caribbean Anticipatory Action Pilot Online Training

Anticipatory Action refers to actions taken before a crisis hits to prevent or reduce potential humanitarian impacts prior to a shock or before acute impacts are felt. The actions are carried out based on forecasts or predictions of how the event will unfold.
This Online Course is a critical technical anticipatory action development curriculum for Red Cross Red Crescent focal points for early warning/early action, disaster management and key staff/volunteers involved in related elements of AA such as finance, resource mobilization and CVA. The Course consist of seven (7) Sessions over 7 weeks. Each session will be for 2.5 hours.
The Second International Disaster Response Law (IDRL) Workshop

The main objectives of this workshop are to build awareness and foster buy-in on the recommendations for improving the CDM legal and policy framework for international humanitarian assistance and learn from recent experiences and foster high level engagement for IDRL in CDM Policy and Legislation.

Feel confident to adapt and create a key message focus on keep the dignity, access, participation, and safety during the response.
The target audience for this workshop are people who have experience implementing or coordinating community projects/initiatives, Communications and CEA focal points, as well as volunteers working in the field during operations.
The Second Civil Military High Level Advisory Workshop

The main objectives of this workshop are an improved understanding of the roles of each actor (military and civilian) and operational procedures to follow in case of disasters, a follow-up of the implementation of the regional civil-military roadmap, a consolidation of civil-military relations in the region, a coordinated humanitarian response and improve the Civil Military approach in the Caribbean and the Americas Region
